That juror picked up 1984 at his local bookstore and took the "Two Minutes Hate" a bit too literally. I love this scene because of the historical context. I won't get into it here, but if you're curious look up "Operation W*****k". (Hint: it's the opposite of "Dryfront"). Even in the midst of the political environment, almost everyone turned away from his hateful tirade.
