The hit series ‘White Lotus,’ is heading to Thailand for an unforgettable third season. After over two years since fans have last met a new group of hotel guests, HBO is bringing in a brand new cast to stay at The White Lotus.
White Lotus creator Mike White, has done it again, and brings his satirical writing and thrilling plots back for another season.
“The White Lotus isn’t The White Lotus without Mike White,” says Season 3 actor Patrick Schwarzenegger.
Natasha Rothwell is coming back to the series, after playing her beloved role of Belinda on season 1. She praises Mike White and says, “He’s singular… He’s into every moment and he loves it.”
Walton Goggins has also been brought into the cast for season three and says to Instagram after the premiere, “The premiere of THE MOVABLE FEAST that is THE WHITE LOTUS. We can’t wait for you to experience the deep web of these existential crisis.”
However, fans and cast members are deeply saddened that Jennifer Coolidge, who played her iconic role of Tanya, will not be making an appearance this season, due to her character’s sudden death at the end of season 2.
Coolidge’s main scene partner was Natasha Rothwell, who had a similar reaction to fans when discovering Tanya’s fate at the end of the second season. Rothwell told ‘Today,’ “I remember the moment Jennifer died. I screamed and, like, threw my phone across the room, grabbed my phone, texted Jennifer.”
Despite Coolidge’s absence, season three received 2.4 million viewers, which is 57% more than season two received across HBO Max. After just 36 hours after the premiere, the season hit 4.6 million views.
