Tamra Judge may have confirmed she’s “out” of The Real Housewives of Orange County cast over the weekend. But according to an insider, she’ll “most likely” be back.
As Andy Cohen, 56, addressed Tamra’s exit from the series on his radio show and Gina Kirschenheiter, 40, appeared to shade her former co-star, a source shed new light onto the sudden turn of events, explaining that Tamra announced she was quitting the show just hours after getting into a “shouting match” with Gretchen Rossi, 46, and Shannon Beador, 60.
“Tamra quit in the middle of the New Orleans trip with the girls. It was just after filming an emotional scene that turned into a heated discussion and then a shouting match with Gretchen and Shannon,” an insider told The U.S. Sun on March 10. “Ultimately, Tamra can dish it but she can’t take it which longtime viewers well know.”
“She’s overreacting and throwing a tantrum like a child because she isn’t getting her way,” the source continued, noting that “nothing big enough to quit actually happened.”
According to the report, Tamra is “seeking attention” with her exit, and, as the insider noted, “it looks like she’s gotten it.”
“She said she’s done for good but if the money is right, she will be back,” they added.
As RHOC fans well know, Tamra has a rocky history with both Gretchen and Shannon, but she reconciled with Shannon before filming began. Meanwhile, Gretchen targeted her with a fiery social media post last year amid the airing of season 18.
“I think it’s sad she’s been getting away with harming so many people for years now. It seems like she can never be loyal to anyone (especially her so-called friends). I believe the only thing she has ever been loyal to is her paycheck. She will destroy your character, your livelihood, your businesses etc. under the guise of claiming she is just a ‘truth teller.’ It’s gross and not okay,” Gretchen declared. “Oh and try speaking the actual truth about her. Because from my experience, she will go on a witch hunt and try and destroy you. In my opinion, she is evil, manipulative and conniving. I saw exactly who she was back then and was never afraid to call her out.”
On the March 10 episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, Andy responded to Tamra’s exit announcement, signaling Teddi Mellencamp, 43, and her recent brain cancer diagnosis.
“I got the report of what happened last night. All I will say is this, I can’t comment on what’s going on, in you know while we’re filming shows. I guess the only thing that, the thing that is at the top of my mind is that one of her best friends, if not her best friend, is going through an incredibly intense health crisis,” he explained. “So maybe keep that in mind. Otherwise, I really don’t have anything to say on the subject.”
Tamra has also spoken out in the hours since her abrupt departure, sharing a pic from the airport and including a message, which read, “Mental Health is Health.”
Also on Instagram, Gina seemed to throw some shade at Tamra’s departure by saying it was “business as usual,” along with a mirror selfie.
The Real Housewives of Orange County season 19 is expected to begin airing on Bravo sometime later this year.
