Marvel has released a new clip from Thunderbolts* and it comes from the opening moments of the film. In it, we see Hannah John-Kamen‘s Ghost fighting Wyatt Russell‘s US Agent, Olga Kurylenko‘s Taskmaster, and Florence Pugh‘s Yelena Belova, and as you’ll see, she gets the better of them.
I also included a second clip that features the team confronting Julia Louis-Dreyfus‘ Valentina Allegra de Fontaine in the old Avengers tower. She has no idea who David Harbour‘s Red Guardian is, which means he was really never meant to join the team.
She amusingly asks, “Who is this old Santa?”, which is a fun joke as Harbour also played Santa Claus in 2022’s Violent Night.
The plot summary reads: “A world without Avengers doesn’t mean there’s not a group of superheroes. There is a group and they’re called the Thunderbolts. A group of supervillains from the MCU are recruited to go on missions for the government.”
The film also features Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), Red Guardian (David Harbour), and “Bob” aka Sentry aka The Void (Lewis Pullman).
Jake Schreier directed the action-packed adventure, with a screenplay from Eric Pearson and Joanna Calo.
