It’s easy to think that nepo babies have it all, but a recent installment of Variety’s actors on actors made us happy that we’ll never be having the same kind of uncomfortable conversation that Arnold and Patrick Schwarzenegger had. The pair sat down to talk all-things the entertainment industry, perceived nepotism, and their most well-known roles, with the conversation eventually digging into the latter’s recent role on HBO’s The White Lotus. Although having the birds and the bees chat with your parent or guardian is beyond awkward, imagine doing a nude scene on one of television’s most popular shows only to be face-to-face with your parent, discussing it for all the world to see.
Both men handled the topic with class, but Arnold Schwarzenegger’s response to his son’s moment of nakedness is so pure, genuine, and goofy that you’ll be hard-pressed not to crack a smile. Reflecting on that unforgettable moment, The Terminator actor said,
“I couldn’t believe [it]. I said to myself, ‘I’m watching your show, and I’m watching your butt sticking out there.’ And all of a sudden, I see the weenie. What is going on here? This is crazy.”
