The Boys universe continues to expand on Amazon, with Vought Rising, a prequel to the events of The Boys, getting a costume reveal today. The series, is in production for an unnamed release date. It’s described as a “twisted murder mystery” set in the 50s; maybe just a teeny bit of Watchmen/Minute Men influence here? Vought Industries is the sinister conglomerate behind much of The Boys action that aims to infiltrate government and industry with costumed superheroes. Hm. Too outlandish to ever happen!
The sneak look rolled out on Twitter, with the account writing:
Once upon a time, these four were as American as apple pie. Say hello to the supes of VOUGHT RISING – a new origin story set in the world of The Boys – in production this month.

Other cast members include Aya Cash as Stormfront, along with Jorden Myrie, Nicolò Pasetti, Ricky Staffieri, and Brian J. Smith.
Vought Rising joins the rest of the “Boy-verse” on Amazon, all based on the Garth Ennis/Darick Robertson comic. The series has been one of the highest rated on the platform and has led to several spin-offs, including Gen V, set at Godolkin University, and following young superheroes in training; and the animated anthology The Boys Presents: Diabolical.
Vought Rising is showrun by Paul Grellong. Executive producers include Grelling, creator Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Ori Marmur, Pavun Shetty, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, Michaela Starr, and Jim Barnes.
