Teases for the Green Lantern series are heating up! The latest batch of BTS photos from Lanterns reveals fans’ best look yet at Aaron Pierre as John Stewart.
Lanterns may be up there as one of, if not the most anticipated project in the new DC Universe. Fans have been frothing at the mouth for the Green Lantern Corps to get their due, and all signs point to this series being something truly revolutionary for the franchise. This in no small part to due ingenious casting choices like Aaron Pierre as John Stewart and Kyle Chandler as Hal Jordan.
Yet despite the Green Lantern series having wrapped filming quite some time ago, the folks at DC have kept Lanterns close to their chest. Only a single official image of Aaron Pierre and Kyle Chandler have been released, with the only additional pictures coming from BTS photos of John Stewart walking through a small town. Though perhaps this lack of information makes it even more impressive that this project has accumulated as much hype as it has.
New Look At Aaron Pierre As John Stewart
After months of less than crumbs, fans finally have a new look at Lanterns. The image shows Aaron Pierre (sadly not in his Green Lantern attire) across from Kelly MacDonald’s sheriff character in what appears to be an interrogation room. This suggests that, at some point in the series, John Stewart will be doing something that puts him on the other side of the law.

It’s likely that fans will be getting a much more robust look at Lanterns sooner rather than later, with the series set to debut in early 2026. The first teaser, likely with the official suit reveal for Aaron Pierre’s John Stewart, will likely arrive before the end of the year (our bet is at New York Comic-Con). Fans just need to hope the show manages to revive the Green Lantern’s opinion in the public eye!
