Is Spider-Man: Brand New Day adapting the Spider-Man game for the PS4? Set photos have fans speculating about one key action set piece from that game.
Over the past few months, fans have been drawing some key connections between the set photos leaking from Spider-Man: Brand New Day and the people and places seen in the beloved Spider-Man game for the PS4. A large part of this is due to the large amount of paramilitary vehicles in both games, albeit in the film, it’s less clear who owns them.
The most recent batch of set photos has made these comparisons undeniable to some fans. Dozens of paramilitary equipment, from bomb squad cars to ambulances, have been seen getting trucked into the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. This includes a helicopter, which many fans see as a major hint to adapting the iconic helicopter chase from the Spider-Man PS4 game.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s Videogame Inspirations
It’s no secret that Tom Holland scoured the internet for feedback about the franchise before starting production on Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Given that the Spider-Man PS4 game is one of the most well-received pieces of media from the web-head in the past 20 years, it wouldn’t be surprising for the film to take at least some inspiration from the games.
And while it’s not confirmed (or even likely) that Mister Negative will control the paramilitary vehicles in the set photos like he did in the PS4 games, signs point to Silver Sable potentially being a threat during the events of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Given that she, too, was a part of that game’s story, it could be yet another connection the two productions have.
