Gypsy Rose Blanchard is back on social media — and she’s celebrating her daughter’s first birthday!
As we’ve been following, the 34-year-old has been in some hot water recently. We mean, some of the videos that have been getting released through the Freedom of Information Act have had fans completely change their perception on her. We’ve covered all the disturbing details these videos have in them, which were reportedly sent to her ex Nicholas Godejohn before the murder of Dee Dee Blanchard.
These videos were way worse than anyone expected. From Gypsy revealing she has an “evil” side named Demona, as well as promising her future children’s virginity to Nick, it’s been a FRENZY on social media with reactions. And we can’t really blame anyone… This is serious stuff. She even admitted to knowing these things were illegal in the videos… Yikes.
Gypsy did end up responding to the releases, saying in a post to her Stories:
“I’m not proud of those videos. They were recorded during a period of extreme trauma, coercive control, and emotional dependency. People in these dynamics often say and do things that don’t reflect who they truly are. I am not the same person today. I’ve received treatment, therapy, and have done years of healing work. If you or someone you love is in a controlling or abusive relationship, help is available. You deserve safety and support.”
But some people weren’t satisfied with that. Not to mention the videos just keep coming! It seems like every day there’s a new one. Gypsy doesn’t seem to be too concerned, though…

After deactivating her socials for a while, she made a return to Instagram to share some snaps from her and her hubby Ken Urker‘s daughter’s first birthday. Aurora Urker was spoiled with lots of treats and a Ms. Rachel themed party. You can see those posts (below):
Looks pretty business as usual! But it’s worth noting that comments are OFF… At least for people she doesn’t follow. Some social media users said in the replies:
“Gypsy motherhood looks amazing for you! I’m truly happy for you that you got your chance in life! You truly deserve it!!! Happy 1st birthday Aurora”
“Can people just let her be happy? I know she did some bad things but everyone does. Let her move on”
“I urge any of you bringing up her past to look into other CSA victims’ stories, and all of the things that they believed were normal. it’s difficult to understand until you have been in a situation where your only influence is your abusers.”
“Why are yall talking abt stuff she said when she was mentally ill and being mentally and physically abused?”
“Wishing Aurora a blessed 1st Birthday!!”
While others, on different platforms, expressed their concerns and opinions:

“Gypsy had herself a party… That party was themed to draw attention to GYPSY!!! Not Aurora!!! It’s so very clear! Aurora is just a prop for Gypsy to get attention.”

Regardless of all the discourse, we do hope Aurora had a good first birthday and is loving life. But with all the stuff coming out, we understand why people have very real concerns.
