HBO has set the premiere date for the return of Euphoria for Season 3: Sunday, April 12, airing from 9-10:00 p.m. ET/PT. New episodes will drop weekly on Sunday nights.

From Sam Levinson, the eight-episode third season of Euphoria will feature a time jump that takes the characters out of high school. It will follow a group of childhood friends who wrestle with the virtue of faith, the possibility of redemption, and the problem of evil.
Returning series regulars include Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Eric Dane, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Martha Kelly, Chloe Cherry, Adewale Akinnuoye Agbaje, and Toby Wallace. Colman Domingo, Dominic Fike, Nika King, Alanna Ubach, Sophia Rose Wilson, Melvin Bonez Estes, Daeg Faerch, Paula Marshall, Zak Steiner, and Marsha Gambles are among the returning guest stars.

Production wrapped in Los Angeles, where the series was shots thanks in part to a $19.4M California tax credit. Euphoria returns four years after the show’s Season 2 run, and is expected to be the conclusion of the series.
Deadline caught up with Domingo on the Golden Globes red carpet on Sunday, and he shared a short yet poignant teaser for the upcoming third season.
“We’re gonna have a devastatingly gorgeous, epic season that I think is breaking the mold of television,” Colman shared. “I think it’s gonna become more cinema than television.”
Additionally, regarding his character, who meets Zendaya’s Rue at an NA meeting and becomes her sponsor, Domingo said Season 3 would mine the depths of Ali Muhammed’s backstory.
Season 3 was shot on a new Kodak motion picture film stock in both 35mm and 65mm. Levinson and Marcell Rév collaborated closely with the company to commercialize the new stock in each format. Of note, Season 3 is also the first narrative television series to shoot a significant volume of 65mm film, providing for an expanded image on screen which mirrors the characters’ journeys out of high school into the wider, wilder world, according to HBO.
Euphoria is created, written, directed, and executive produced by Sam Levinson. Ashley Levinson, Sara E. White, Kevin Turen, Ravi Nandan, Drake, Adel “Future” Nur, Ron Leshem, Daphna Levin, Hadas Mozes Lichtenstein, Mirit Toovi, Tmira Yardeni, Yoram Mokady and Gary Lennon also EP. The series is based on the Israeli series of the same name that was created by Ron Leshem and Daphna Levin.
