When Nicola Peltz Beckham popped up on Instagram late last week with a carousel of cozy, loved-up photos alongside husband Brooklyn Beckham, the timing sent the internet buzzing.
After all, it came right on the heels of Brooklyn’s explosive claims about lifelong tension with his famous parents, David and Victoria Beckham, and alleged interference in his marriage. You would think that kind of family drama would dominate the comment section. But that is not what happened!

Instead, fans zeroed in on something else entirely: Nicola’s appearance. More specifically, they focused on her noticeably slimmer frame, which immediately sparked concern, speculation, and a flood of questions from followers who worried something deeper might be wrong.

Now, there’s finally some clarity, and it comes with a much more nuanced explanation.
According to a source speaking to People, Nicola’s weight loss is directly tied to her next major acting role:
“She’s undergone a physical transformation and intense workout regimen for her role in Prima, where she portrays a prima ballerina.”
Well then!
Prima is a serious drama set in the unforgiving world of elite ballet, FYI. Nicola stars as Margo, a devoted ballerina raised under the strict guidance of her grandmother, played by the legendary Faye Dunaway.
The story digs into the quiet intensity of a ballet company on the brink of change. When the head of the company, portrayed by Jack Huston, marries a contemporary choreographer played by Betty Gabriel, tradition is challenged. What follows is a power struggle that threatens to unravel everything Margo has been conditioned to protect. And in that context, Nicola’s transformation takes on a different tone, of course.
So, while fans were right to notice, the weight loss worries are apparently NOT what people thought at first.
