Savannah Guthrie’s Family Considering Legal Action After TV Host Claimed Brother-In-Law Might Be A ‘Prime Suspect’ For Mother’s Disappearance

Savannah Guthrie‘s family allegedly isn’t happy with how a TV host claimed her brother-in-law might be a “prime suspect” in her mom’s disappearance.

In case you didn’t hear, Nancy Guthrie‘s son-in-law, Tommaso Cioni, was reportedly the last person to see the 84-year-old before she vanished from her Arizona home. While cops have been adamant that Annie Guthrie‘s husband is NOT labeled as a suspect, Ashleigh Banfield‘s claims ignited the flames.

She alleged she had heard from a trusted law enforcement source that he was a central figure in the investigation, tacking on that her words were simply “musings and not evidence”.

One family source for Naughty but Nice with Rob Shuter said on Thursday the Guthrie clan is PISSED:

“This dragged innocent people into a nightmare. That statement changed everything. Once police publicly pushed back, the family felt real harm had been done.”

It’s worth noting that the Pima County Sheriff’s Office themselves have vehemently denied Ashleigh’s claims, calling her “unverified accusations” very “irresponsible”.

Another insider for Naughty but Nice also echoed this, saying her actions were “reckless” and “deeply irresponsible”:

“This crossed a line.”

Not the thing this family needs to be bothered with while trying to find their dear mom. So sad.

Thoughts, Perezcious readers?

A tip line has been set up: see HERE. The FBI has offered a $50,000 reward for information leading to the recovery of Nancy Guthrie, and/or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance.
