What Happens in Tell Me Lies series Season 3 finale’s ending?
The finale episode, “Are You Happy Now, That I’m on My Knees?” starts off at Bree and Evan’s wedding in 2015. Wrigley approaches Bree when she is alone and questions her about not giving him a second chance. She reminds him of cheating on her, but he defends himself, and the two eventually begin to have sex, but are soon interrupted.
The episode then shifts to 2009, where Bree’s mom unexpectedly arrives on campus for an intervention. Marianne had informed her about Bree’s fixation with Oliver and stalking Amanda. While her mother was sympathetic, Bree understood that Marianne was trying to prove a point and prevent her from telling the truth.
Later, Pippa confides in Lucy about sleeping with Wrigley. Lucy then comes clean to Pippa about sleeping with Evan. To her surprise, Pippa gets furious and tells her that she wants nothing to do with her. Pippa then heads to Wrigley’s room and confesses that she’s gay and that she shouldn’t have slept with him. Bree learns that Evan cheated on her once and decides to confront him. After Evan tells her the truth, they both reconcile.
Do Lucy & Stephen end up together in Tell Me Lies Season 3 finale?
During the 2009 flashback, Lucy arrives at Stephen’s Yale acceptance party to warn the authorities of his abusive nature. But he catches Lucy talking to someone, after which she runs away. Soon, her life spirals out of control when her confession footage is leaked on the campus.
Lucy confronts Stephen and accuses him of leaking it. But he denies and, in turn, tries to convince her that she leaked it herself. Lucy is then expelled from the school. Soon, even Stephen learns that he’s not accepted at Yale anymore and thinks Lucy did it as retribution.
Back at the wedding in 2015, Stephen broke up with Lydia and told her that he and Lucy had sex that morning. After a heated exchange with Bree, Stephen takes the stage and reveals everyone’s secrets, including Bree releasing Lucy’s tape. Amid the chaos, Stephen asks Lucy to run away with him. Despite her hesitation, he convinces her to go with him.
The two drive away from the city and stop at a gas station. Lucy goes inside the store to get a coffee, and Stephen bails on her. When she learns that he left her there, she stands there, laughing.
