Maxie makes a decision
After seeing Spinelli lost in worry about potentially losing Maxie, Lulu comforts him. At the cemetery, Maxie and Nathan embrace and discuss their relationship. After a long conversation, Maxie tells Nathan she loves him and always will.
Later, Maxie returns home and tells Spinelli about running into Nathan and that she still loves her ex-husband. However, Maxie says she loves him more and decides to be with him. The two share a kiss.
Major setback for PCPD
At PCPD, Ric tells Dante and Justine that Wiley is the one who saw Chase with Michael’s keys and that they can’t build a case against his client. Michael is not happy about involving his son. Given the situation, Justine says that Michael is free to go. When alone with Dante, she warns him to fix his department, or they’ll have to bear the consequences.
Sonny makes a move
At The Brown Dog, Gio and Sonny discuss Emma being out of town. Gio contemplates moving to the West Coast for Emma if she doesn’t return to Port Charles. Sonny comforts him and leaves when Gio gets a text from Joss.
Before Sonny could walk out, Justine barged into the bar for a drink. The two sit down for a conversation, where she tells him about the rough day she had. Seeing Sonny being so understanding despite her investigation into his son, Justine feels frustrated and walks out. Outside, Sonny catches up to her and says that he wasn’t sympathizing with her. He then lands a kiss on her.
Forced to start over
Alexis explains the adoption procedure to Chase and Brook Lynn. She also tells the couple that they have to redo the process from scratch. Chase asks if his demotion was the reason to start over and how it would impact their chances, but Alexis reassures him.
Michael’s breaking point
Michael arrives at the Quartermaine mansion and confronts Chase about the keys. Their conversation turns violent, and the two get into a fist fight. Soon, Dante arrives and separates them. Brook Lynn vents to Michael about hitting her husband, and the couple leaves. When asked, Dante tells Michael that he may actually be innocent.
At Drew’s place, Wiley has a nightmare and turns to Willow for comfort. She soothes him back to sleep, then smirks to herself as she thinks about the key she planted.
