Nancy Guthrie’s Case Was DOOMED From The Start Because Of THIS Preventable Mistake, Source Claims!

Nancy Guthrie‘s case was doomed from the start, largely due to major mistakes made by law enforcement — at least, that is what a new source is now claiming!

Perezcious readers know that the Pima County Sheriff’s Department has been under fire as they are nowhere close to figuring out what happened to Savannah Guthrie‘s mother two months after she vanished from her home in Tucson, Arizona. There have been tons of complaints about how Sheriff Chris Nanos has mishandled the case — everything from him allegedly withholding information from the FBI to not deploying a vital search-and-rescue aircraft when Nancy was reported missing, and more.

We now may know why there are still no answers to this day. An anonymous source claimed to NewsNation on Thursday that the cops botched the case from the very beginning because they fixated on the wrong theory for way too long — that Nancy simply “wandered off” and was not kidnapped:

“Speaking with some people, that actually know the intimate knowledge of this investigation, told me that there was a rush to judgment of what was happening at that scene, and it was that Nancy had somehow wandered off. So they rushed to that judgment, stayed with that judgment, and then ran this investigation as if it were a search-and-rescue issue, as opposed to a possible criminal issue.”

Whoa! Everyone knows the first 24 to 72 hours of a missing person’s case are extremely critical because the likelihood of recovering someone safe and sound decreases with each passing hour! If the accusation is true, law enforcement royally screwed up by rushing to a conclusion before they had all the facts!

But knowing what we know of the crime scene, blood on the front doorstep, the Ring camera ripped off, and the doors propped open, how they concluded she just “wandered off” is head-scratching. We obviously aren’t cops. However, if we saw all that, we would immediately think the worst. Even Savannah’s own brother, Camron Guthrie, took one look at the scene and determined that she hadn’t gotten up and walked away in the middle of the night. The Today Show host said her sibling knew someone had kidnapped Nancy. So why didn’t the police think so initially as well?

Well, the insider told journalist Brian Entin that police on the scene “didn’t have a lot of experience” when it comes to homicide, including the supervisor! In fact, the supervisor allegedly never even investigated a homicide before getting the position! WTF! They explained:

“From what I understand, that the people that were there on the scene were not tenured homicide detectives. They didn’t have a lot of experience in homicide at that point, to include the supervisor who, from my understanding, never investigated a homicide before being installed as the supervisor for the homicide unit.”

HOW is that possible!?! We’d be so upset if we were the Guthrie family. There should have been someone experienced in that role! That seems so obvious!

According to the source, inexperience led to the poor decisions early on in the case, and that is why it remains unsolved to this day. They added:

“Well, see, you have decisions made by people that will install friends and people that can do stuff for them, opposed to people that are there under merit and can do the job correctly.”

At this moment, the unnamed insider said “there’s no direct suspect” and “no name on the table,” which is not shocking to the source due to “how the investigation has gone so far.” The person continued:

“I mean, you have individuals that are either lucky as hell or more cunning than a lot of people have seen in the past. If you take the first, extremely lucky, maybe his luck will run out, but so far it hasn’t. But if you take the second one that he was extremely cunning, there’s a chance that he may have covered his tracks so well that we may not find out what happened right now.”

Oof. This is something no one wants to hear…

The source went on to say morale is “extremely low” under Nanos, and they feel he needs to step aside after ruining “a great department.” He is not the only one who thinks the Sheriff needs to go, either. When asked what the police department wants to say to Savannah, who is in agony over having no answers about her 84-year-old mother, the insider expressed:

“Just because we have an incompetent lead doesn’t mean that we don’t care. That we don’t want Nancy to be brought home safely and that we’re not with her in this. We are completely with her and her family on this.”

Wow… Watch the entire interview (below):

What does the police department have to say for itself? Not much! A spokesperson for the Pima County Sheriff’s Office did not address the allegations in the interview, but told Entertainment Weekly that “the sheriff is not holding media availability, and there is no additional information to provide at this time.”

What are your thoughts, Perezcious readers? Sound OFF in the comments (below).
