Gigi Hadid is speaking out after being named in the Epstein files.
Last weekend, the supermodel dropped a carousel of snowy pics on Instagram, featuring selfies and glimpses of her daughter Khai, 5, whom she shares with ex Zayn Malik.
But while many fans had nothing but love to share in the comments, one user in particular revealed she “had to unfollow” because Gigi had yet to “talk about those files.”
With the Department of Justice’s release of millions of Epstein files, it was revealed that Gigi and her younger sister Bella were named in a 2015 email exchange between Jeffrey Epstein and an individual whose name was redacted. The unknown individual asked Jeffrey:
“How did the Hadid sisters became [sic] models and make so much money?! I don’t understand”
Jeffrey responded:
“You know … the father paid the agency”
The unknown individual then disgustingly responded, “no … there are too many girls giving b***jobs…” Jeffrey hit back, “Agreed.”

Now, Gigi is ready to set the record straight after being directly confronted. In response to the Instagram comment, she condemned the pedophile and claimed she never met him:
“Made me sick to my stomach. Horrible to read someone you’ve never met speak about you that way. Especially in this context. Never in my life met the monster — to me it was so obvious, in that email chain, he tried to take responsibility of other peoples careers in order to manipulate his victims (in this case, whoever was emailing him questions about my career) .. who never saw the work ethic he claimed he’d get them.”
Explaining why it’s taken her so long to address the files, she continued:
“I didn’t comment bc I don’t want to take away from the stories of his real victims; but your comment made me realize maybe it’s not clear — and it’s important to let you know — I grew up privileged, yes. But my parents protected me and taught me about the value of hard work, the same hard work that got them into this country and gave them careers.”
Addressing how she got her start in modeling, the 30-year-old denied having her career bought by her father:
“We applied for and my mom brought me herself to meetings with agencies in NYC just before I turned 18, two of which she was signed to in her career — Marilyn’s and Ford … I probably met with 10 agencies — only Marilyn’s, IMG, and (maybe?) one other agency offered me a contract. I signed to IMG in 2012. And I’ve worked hard every moment since.”
She continued:
“To be named in those files, I think I was 20-21 at the time he would have written that email — is disturbing, and I want to state unequivocally that I never had any affiliation with that disgusting human being.”
The model signed off:
“May he rest in
”

Gigi has since deleted said comment, but not before the original commenter responded by saying it was a “complete honor” for Gigi to address the situation. The model wrote back:
“Sending love thanks for your support x”
