Kim Kardashian may have built an empire around doing everything all at once, but even she apparently knows when it’s time to hit pause!
The reality TV queen, business mogul, aspiring attorney, and full-time headline magnet is reportedly stepping away from the California Bar Exam yet again — and insiders are saying her insanely packed schedule is to blame!

According to a source close to the SKIMS founder who spoke to Page Six on Wednesday, Kim’s calendar has become so overloaded with filming commitments, production meetings, and nonstop business obligations that squeezing in serious bar prep just wasn’t realistic this time around. And honestly? Anyone who has followed Kim over the years knows she doesn’t exactly do things halfway.
Kim skipped the February exam and has no plans to attempt the July one either, the report revealed, meaning fans may not see her tackle the test again until sometime in 2027. That’s a pretty major delay! …Especially for someone who has spent years publicly documenting the journey.
About that, the outlet’s insider said:
“Kim has a packed schedule and has been heavily involved in filming and production for several projects so she decided it’s best to skip this round of the bar exam and focus on taking it again when she feels ready.”
That’s probably the smartest move she could make, especially considering how brutal California’s bar exam is! This isn’t some casual online quiz. The test is famously one of the hardest in the country, with hundreds of multiple-choice questions, long essays, and hours upon hours of legal analysis that require months of preparation. And Kim already knows firsthand how difficult the process can be after previously failing the infamous “baby bar” three times before finally passing in 2021.
So, apparently this latest decision wasn’t made lightly. The source explained:
“When Kim has her mind made up on something, she gives it her all, and this isn’t something she’s taking lightly.”
Sources say Kim has no interest in walking into the exam feeling unprepared, especially with millions of people watching her every move. Unlike most law students, she’s studying under a microscope while balancing motherhood, TV production, fashion businesses, and celebrity obligations all at once. That pressure alone sounds exhausting!
About that, the source noted:
“Most people who take the bar exam dedicate months leading up to the test and focus all their energy on preparing. But she is working nonstop as a single mom and trying to do it all.”
Oof. That’s a LOT.
And let’s be real here! Whether you love Kim or roll your eyes every time she pops up on your feed, there’s no denying she has stayed committed to this legal journey for years now. She first revealed back in 2019 that she was pursuing law after becoming deeply involved in criminal justice reform, particularly after helping secure the prison release of Alice Marie Johnson. Since then, she’s repeatedly talked about how emotional the process has been, especially because it connects her to her late father, Robert Kardashian.

Still, insiders say the public pressure surrounding the exam may have played a major role in her latest decision to sit this round out, as the insider revealed:
“This exam can put a lot of pressure on anybody. There’s a lot at stake and she’s put so much time and effort into this already. But on top of that, there are so many eyes on her, so it just adds a whole other level of weight to it. She has no plan on giving up on her dreams, but when she takes the test again, she wants to go into it feeling confident.”
Of course, critics are already sounding off online, questioning whether Kim can realistically juggle billionaire-level fame with becoming an actual attorney. But supporters argue that her persistence alone deserves credit. After all, most people would have quietly given up after failing multiple times in front of the entire internet.
For now, though, it looks like Kim is choosing cameras over case law. At least temporarily…
