It’s official! James Kennedy is expecting his first child.
Just over a month after rumors claimed the 34-year-old Vanderpump Rules alum had gotten his then-unidentified girlfriend pregnant, James has confirmed the news, revealing that he and his girlfriend of eight months, North Carolina native Jordan Meyers, 23, will soon be parents.
“We are thrilled to share that Jordan and I are expecting our first child together,” James confirmed to PEOPLE on June 11. “We have previously kept our relationship out of the public eye, and this is the first time we’re sharing it publicly. We wanted to keep things personal while we were building our relationship together, and we’ve shared this news privately with close friends and family for some time now.”
“As we prepare for this next chapter, it felt like the right moment to share it more widely. This is an incredibly special and meaningful time for us, and we feel deeply grateful to be stepping into this new chapter surrounded by love and support from our family and friends,” he continued. “It’s been a grounding and exciting part of our lives, and we’re looking forward to everything ahead. As we get ready to welcome our baby, we’re focused on embracing all of the joy, growth, and change that comes with becoming parents.”
According to Jordan, who is four months along in her pregnancy, she and James had a “strong spark” instantly.

“We initially connected on Instagram and then met in person at one of his shows. I’m from North Carolina, so I went to visit James for what was supposed to be ‘three days,’ which has now turned into eight months together,” she revealed. “Watching our love grow and preparing to become parents together has been the most incredible experience.”
“I’m so excited for all the beautiful memories still to come — we are already so in love with our little one!” Jordan added.
Prior to his romance with Jordan, fans of Pump Rules saw James date Kristen Doute, 43, Rachel “Raquel” Leviss, 31, and Ally Lewber, 30, on the show. After the series wrapped, and amid his three-year relationship with Ally, James was arrested for domestic violence. And while charges were never filed against him, he and Ally called it quits shortly after.
As fans may have seen, Ally addressed James’ baby news during an interview last month.
“We know he moves quickly, and he always wanted to be a dad. That was always a thing with us. He was so ready for all of that stuff yesterday, and I’m still not ready. We haven’t talked, so I just hope he’s happy and healthy, and I wish them the best,” Ally told Tudum by Netflix.
In addition to focusing on his sobriety and DJ career in recent months, James has turned to charity work with organizations like Midnight Mission, Vanderpump Dogs, Pups Without Borders, homeless shelters, and recovery centers.
