The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum Rachel Fuda had a successful two-season run on the show.
However, after a long pause, the show opted not to move forward with her for a third season.
Rachel recently appeared on Kim DePaola‘s Get Real With Kim D podcast and gave her thoughts on the new cast.
She noted that from even when Danielle Cabral and Rachel joined the show, it seemed – and now seems – “inauthentic.”
“When you look at the original seasons of Orange County… this is a group of intertwined friendships that have dirt on each other… they’ve been through s*it together. They have history.”
Kim shared similar sentiments, noting, “They know each other. They know their husbands, they’re brothers, they’re sisters…This show is amazing. These girls are so real. With these new girls that come from all different race, creed, color, it’s just to me, I don’t – I don’t see the fit.”
Rachel also noted each Housewives franchise has their own identity.
“Beverly Hills is about the opulence… New Jersey’s about family. Like they all kind of have their own identity,” she shared.
“So, I’m wondering if that’s going to be the thing that like connects them all to make it come full circle?” she added, suggesting what may be the identity of the new cast.
As Reality Blurb previously confirmed, the new cast members are set to comprise Xiomara Laracuente and Juliette Collazo, Natia Rufolo, Vanessa Barrera, and Deeba Patel.
Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, and Dolores Catania are the only original cast members set to return to the show.
While there were rumblings that production might consider bringing back other older cast members, an insider spilled in May that this was not the case at the time.
“No one involved has been told anything about any cast members returning, aside from Teresa, Melissa, and Dolores,” the source shared at the time, noting any rumors to the contrary were “not true.”
