Well, it looks like we finally have our answer!
After weeks of rumors, hopeful guesses, and plenty of royal wedding chatter hoping for a confirmation, it now turns out that Prince William and Princess Catherine will NOT be attending Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s highly anticipated wedding after all.

According to People on Tuesday, the Prince and Princess of Wales won’t be among the star-studded guests when the superstar singer and the NFL champ eventually say “I do” to each other.
Drat!!
That officially puts an end to all the speculation that had been building ever since William cheekily hinted he was crossing his fingers for an invitation.
Fans will remember that back in May, William appeared on Heart Breakfast, where host Amanda Holden couldn’t resist asking the obvious question: Had he and Catherine scored an invite? Rather than give a straight answer, the future king smiled and played coy with a “no comment” line before adding that he was hoping an invitation might come their way. Naturally, that was all it took for the internet to run wild with theories that the royal couple might make a surprise appearance at what many are already calling one of the biggest celebrity weddings ever.
During that same interview, William also shared that his kids are HUGE Taylor fans. In fact, he revealed that Princess Charlotte is especially obsessed with the pop icon, making the possibility of a royal appearance at the wedding seem even more believable to fans.
Of course, William and Taylor go way back. Their friendship stretches back more than a decade to 2013, when they memorably joined Jon Bon Jovi onstage during a charity gala at Kensington Palace for an unforgettable performance of Livin’ on a Prayer. It’s one of those pop culture moments that STILL gets people talking all these years later!

Then there was last summer’s viral Eras Tour moment.
William celebrated his birthday by taking Prince George and Princess Charlotte to Taylor’s London concert at Wembley Stadium, where fans couldn’t get enough of seeing the royal dancing along to Shake It Off. After the show, Taylor shared a backstage selfie with William and his children, while Travis also posed with the royal family in another photo that quickly took over social media. Taylor even wished William a happy birthday in the caption, making it clear the two sides have remained friendly!
That’s exactly why so many people thought the Wales family would make the guest list when Taylor and Travis finally tied the knot!
But despite the warm relationship and all those fun public interactions, it appears the royal couple won’t be celebrating the big day in person.
