Marvel Studios came back to Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con after a two-year absence, and it delivered the most entertaining presentation at the epic event.
I was lucky enough to be in the room, and from the second the lights went down until the final announcement, the energy was absolutely insane. Every reveal seemed to raise the excitement another level, and by the end of the panel Hall H felt like it might explode.
This presentation wasn’t about slowing down and taking a victory lap. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and the creative teams came ready to remind fans why Hall H has become legendary.
From huge casting reveals and first-look footage to long-awaited movie announcements, there was something for every Marvel fan to lose their mind over.
Here’s everything Marvel Studios announced during its massive Hall H presentation.
Marvel Turned Hall H Into Doctor Doom’s Kingdom
Before the panel even started, everyone inside Hall H was handed Doctor Doom masks and green capes. It made waiting for the delayed presentation a lot more fun, and it set the mood for what was coming.
Then H.E.R.B.I.E. rolled out to entertain the audience before Marvel played an incredible sizzle reel celebrating every era of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The title cards read: “The paths they chose. The heroes they became. The sacrifices they made across every universe. Connect us all. Marvel Studios returns to Hall H.”
The crowd erupted before Feige even walked onstage. When he finally appeared, he talked briefly about everything happening across Marvel, mentioning Vision Quest, but explained that this panel would focus primarily on the upcoming movies.
That turned out to be very good news.
Avengers: Endgame Returns to Theaters
The first announcement celebrated one of Marvel’s biggest movies ever. Avengers: Endgame is returning to theaters this September, and Marvel showed a special trailer featuring iconic moments from the film mixed with bootleg footage from opening-night audiences cheering, screaming, and celebrating together.
The screen read: “In 2019 one movie brought the world together.” Followed by: “Reassemble the team. Return to theaters. Relive the experience. The story continues.”
The teaser ended by promising fans a preview connected to Avengers: Doomsday, which immediately had Hall H roaring. Even after all these years, Endgame still has a special place with Marvel fans, and you could feel that excitement ripple across the room.
Ryan Gosling Is Finally Playing Ghost Rider
Then came one of the night’s biggest surprises. Ryan Gosling officially joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Ghost Rider.
The announcement brought one of the loudest reactions of the entire presentation. Fans have wanted Gosling to play Ghost Rider for years, and Marvel finally made it happen.
The movie arrives in 2028 and will be directed by Shawn Levy, fresh off Deadpool & Wolverine, from a script by Jonathan Tropper.
Feige shared that although Gosling had spoken publicly about wanting the role for years, everything came together while the two were working on Star Wars: Starfighter. Feige also mentioned that he’d already seen the movie and loved it.
The audience completely lost it. Every announcement seemed to raise the volume inside Hall H, and this one was definitely among the biggest.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day Showed Spider-Man and Punisher Fighting Hulk
As Feige started discussing Marvel’s December release schedule, Jon Bernthal interrupted him. Bernthal reminded everyone that Spider-Man: Brand New Day arrives first, in just one week, before introducing an action-packed clip from the film.
The footage opened with Hulk absolutely demolishing Spider-Man before a pair of grenades suddenly exploded nearby.
The Punisher had arrived. Spider-Man asked: “Frank, what are you doing? This is above your pay grade. It’s the Hulk!” Frank unloaded round after round into Hulk, accomplishing absolutely nothing.
Spider-Man then webbed Frank and slid him across the ground in slow motion so he could continue firing while gliding across the floor. It was one of those shots that instantly had the audience cheering.
Spidey wrapped Hulk in webs while Frank tossed a small disc toward him. Hulk caught it. Looking completely unimpressed, he asked: “Are you kidding?”
Frank immediately shot the disc, blasting Hulk backward. The two heroes ducked behind a table, regrouping. Frank explained that he was supposed to be protecting MJ, but she insisted he protect Spider-Man instead. T
hat caught Peter’s attention. “Did she actually say that?” Frank fired back: “Are you blushing, daffodil?”
The pair discussed how to stop Hulk. Spider-Man said he had a device that could do it, while Frank conveniently tried finding another job to do instead.
Peter immediately called him out. “Are you just trying to get out of fighting the Hulk?”
The footage was hilarious, packed with action, and the chemistry between Spider-Man and Punisher looks fantastic. Hall H absolutely loved every second of it.
Avengers: Doomsday Reveals More Cast Members
Then it was finally time for Avengers: Doomsday. Before showing new footage, Joe Russo and Anthony Russo introduced sixteen cast members, with many appearing from stages behind the audience before making their way to the front.
The cast included Paul Rudd, Anthony Mackie, Simu Liu, James Marsden, David Harbour, Letitia Wright, Lewis Pullman, Kelsey Grammer, Danny Ramirez, Winston Duke, Hannah John-Kamen, Rebecca Romijn, Tenoch Huerta Mejía, Hayley Atwell, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, and Pedro Pascal.
Atwell’s appearance officially confirmed Peggy Carter’s return, earning another huge cheer from the audience.
Then Marvel added one more surprise. Someone stood up in the audience with a question. It was Ryan Reynolds, dressed in full Deadpool costume.
After cracking several jokes, Reynolds asked the Russos whether Deadpool would appear in the movie. Their response? The movie has already wrapped production, but maybe there was still room for additional photography.
The crowd instantly understood what they were teasing, and Hall H exploded once again.
A New Avengers: Doomsday Trailer
Marvel wasn’t finished. Attendees were also treated to a brand-new trailer for Avengers: Doomsday. The footage centered heavily on the relationship between Sue Storm and Reed Richards while bringing Doctor Doom further into the spotlight.
Even without the trailer being released publicly, the reaction inside Hall H said everything. Fans were screaming, applauding, and trying to process everything they had just watched.
Black Panther III Officially Announced
Marvel closed the evening with one final announcement that sent Hall H home happy. Feige welcomed Ryan Coogler to the stage, where he officially announced Black Panther III.
The film is scheduled to arrive on December 15, 2028. Coogler also revealed that the movie will be shot on film and that David Jonsson will play an older T’Challa II.
It was a fantastic way to end an unforgettable panel, and the applause just kept rolling through Hall H.
Marvel Studios Reminded Everyone Why Hall H Matters
I’ve attended so many of Hall H presentations over the years, and this one was awesome. From the Doctor Doom masks waiting on every seat to Ghost Rider’s MCU debut, the Spider-Man: Brand New Day footage, the massive Avengers: Doomsday cast reveal, and the official announcement of Black Panther III, Marvel kept finding ways to top itself.
Every time it felt like the panel had reached its peak, another reveal pushed the audience into another frenzy. The cheers never really stopped. Fans were on their feet throughout the presentation, celebrating every surprise together, and it was one of those Comic-Con experiences that reminds you why Hall H has earned its legendary reputation.
