As conversations around burnout, longevity, and mental health continue to dominate headlines, one Los Angeles event is bringing together the biggest names in wellness to explore what’s next.
On August 3 and 4, downtown Los Angeles will become the epicenter of the wellness industry as Live Love Spa hosts its Annual National Wellness Month Celebration at Hudson Loft. More than just a conference, the immersive two-day experience brings together over 350 attendees—including more than 300 spa leaders and decision-makers from Marriott, Hilton, Four Seasons, Hyatt, Ritz-Carlton, Montage, Fairmont, Life Time, and Equinox—alongside more than 60 innovative wellness brands, media, and creators.
Founded by Live Love Spa CEO Lisa Michaelis, National Wellness Month was established in 2018 to encourage people to prioritize self-care and build healthier habits that support their mental, physical, and emotional well-being. Today, the annual observance has grown into a nationwide movement, reminding people that wellness isn’t reserved for vacations or luxury experiences; it’s something that can be practiced every day.
“Daily self-care isn’t about indulgence,” says Michaelis. “When you consistently care for yourself, you’re actively supporting your nervous system, your resilience, and your overall quality of life. That’s what National Wellness Month is all about.”

This year’s celebration comes at a pivotal time. According to the American Psychological Association, 76 percent of adults report experiencing physical symptoms related to stress, while younger generations continue to report record levels of burnout. As consumers seek healthier ways to recover, recharge, and prevent illness, wellness has become one of the fastest-growing lifestyle movements in the country.
The event offers attendees an exclusive look at the innovations driving that movement forward.
Guests will experience immersive recovery technology, advanced skincare and aesthetics, expert-led masterclasses, facials, massage experiences, red light therapy, makeup applications, networking opportunities, and interactive wellness activations designed to showcase the future of self-care. Rather than walking a traditional trade show floor, attendees are encouraged to experience products and services firsthand, creating meaningful connections between brands and the professionals shaping spa and wellness experiences across the globe.
Among the highlights is the debut of Live Love Spa’s inaugural 2026–2027 Wellness Industry Trends Survey, which gathered insights from thousands of spa and wellness professionals nationwide.
The findings paint a fascinating picture of where wellness is headed. Longevity and healthy aging topped the list of emerging priorities, with 84 percent of professionals identifying it as the industry’s biggest growth opportunity. Women’s health, mental well-being, sleep optimization, skincare longevity, wellness travel, preventative diagnostics, and at-home wellness technologies also ranked among the year’s defining trends. The survey reflects a growing consumer desire to invest in prevention instead of waiting to address health concerns later in life.
That philosophy is evident throughout the event, where attendees can explore everything from recovery devices and red light therapy to sustainable wellness products and emerging technologies designed to support healthier living at home.
The celebration also reinforces another important message: wellness doesn’t have to be expensive.
Throughout National Wellness Month, Live Love Spa encourages individuals to adopt simple, accessible habits—from improving sleep routines and practicing mindfulness to incorporating movement, hydration, and stress management into everyday life. A free 31-Day National Wellness Month Challenge offers practical daily actions that anyone can implement, regardless of budget.
For Michaelis, that’s the heart of the movement she created. “We want wellness to feel achievable,” she says. “Small, intentional choices made consistently can have a tremendous impact over time.”
As Los Angeles continues to influence global conversations around health, beauty, fitness, and lifestyle, the city once again provides the backdrop for an event that’s helping shape the future of wellness.
Whether you’re a spa executive, wellness enthusiast, content creator, or simply someone looking for inspiration to prioritize your own well-being, National Wellness Month serves as a reminder that taking care of yourself isn’t a luxury; it’s an investment in living better, longer.
