Hollywood’s next generation is stepping into the spotlight as Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart’s teenage daughter prepares for her first on-screen role. The 14-year-old will share the screen with her mother in an upcoming Lifetime thriller, which is a significant milestone for the Dane-Gayheart family.

Georgia Dane, the youngest child of actors Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart, will make her acting debut in The Ocean Between Them. The Lifetime film releases on September 26 as part of the network’s “Strength of a Lifetime” slate of ripped-from-the-headlines thrillers.
Gayheart stars as Joan, a determined mother searching the Central American Pacific after her daughter Miranda disappears at sea during a Belize vacation. Jessica Lord plays Miranda, while Georgia steps into the role of Ashley, Joan’s youngest daughter who assists in the desperate search.
The official description states, “As Miranda battles the elements to stay alive, Joan refuses to give up, launching a relentless search that tests her resolve and pushes her beyond her limits. Facing unimaginable odds, both women discover extraordinary strength and the unbreakable bond that connects them — even across the vast ocean.” The film also features Karl Walcott, known for his work on Riverdale, rounding out the cast (via Entertainment Weekly).
Eric Dane, widely recognized for his roles in Grey’s Anatomy and Euphoria, and Rebecca Gayheart had kept their daughters largely out of the public eye. Georgia’s decision to pursue acting represents a new chapter for the family, with her debut happening alongside her mother. Dane died in February after his ALS diagnosis.
The “Strength of a Lifetime” programming event features three Saturday premieres. Sherri Shepherd leads Robin Roberts Presents Angel in the Rubble: The Genelle Guzman Story on September 12. Joy Bryant and Sarah Wayne Callies follow with Sole Survivor of Flight 119 on September 19. The Ocean Between Them closes out the month on September 26.
