Vin Diesel and Fast Forever are back in the spotlight again. Diesel recently shared a surprising training video on Instagram, seemingly showing him preparing for the franchise’s final movie.
Vin Diesel continues training for Fast Forever ahead of filming
Vin Diesel recently shared a new training video on his Instagram. The actor appears to be getting ready for Fast Forever. He previously confirmed filming will begin in December 2026. In the video, Diesel trains while listening to music.
He shared a clip from his training session, where he appears to be listening to a heartfelt song recording featuring him and his daughter. He said, “Am I the only one that trains on a Sunday to a daddy-daughter duet?”
Diesel’s latest training suggests preparation is underway. The actor will return as Dominic Toretto. Fast Forever will serve as the franchise’s final movie. Meanwhile, Diesel recently sparked another major discussion online.
Fans started wondering if he could direct Fast Forever. The speculation began after a cryptic Instagram post. Diesel shared a photo of Dominic Toretto’s Dodge Charger. He captioned the post, “Director… Hmmm…”
The message immediately created speculation among fans. However, nothing has been officially confirmed yet, as Universal has not announced Diesel as director, and Louis Leterrier is still expected to direct the movie.
Leterrier recently revealed he had not read the latest script. That revelation added even more uncertainty around the project. Diesel’s emotional reaction also fueled further discussion. Fast Forever is scheduled to release on March 17, 2028.
Leterrier is currently expected to return as director. Diesel will return as Dominic Toretto alongside Michelle Rodriguez as Letty, Dwayne Johnson as Luke Hobbs, Jason Statham as Deckard Shaw, Gal Gadot as Gisele, and Jason Momoa as Dante Reyes.
The movie will continue after Fast X’s major cliffhangers. Dom Toretto and his son Brian faced a collapsing dam. Reyes also continued targeting Dom’s family. Gisele’s shocking return also changed the story.
Dante Reyes also warned Luke Hobbs that he would be his next target. Fast Forever will likely wrap up these storylines, while Diesel’s latest training update gives fans a glimpse of what’s coming next.
