EXCLUSIVE: Oscar winner Marcia Gay Harden (Pollock) is starring with Jurassic World: Dominion and The Drama star Mamoudou Athie in thriller Hystoria, which has recently wrapped.
First Light Films, in association with Vital Pictures, is producing the film directed by Batan Silva, from an original screenplay by Jonathan Benecke and P.T. Hylton (Serena).
In Hystoria, “a seemingly ordinary retirement party takes a sinister turn when three former students discover their respected history teacher is secretly plotting to violently reshape the future”.
The film also stars Jamie Gray Hyder (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit) with newcomer Hudson Harden Scheel, who makes his feature film debut.
Batan Silva’s directing credits include hit series such as The Boys, Narcos, The Sinner, and The Flight Attendant, as well as feature films including After Darkness, Compulsion, Nonna´s Trip, and La Nave.
The film is produced by Jonathan Benecke and P.T. Hylton through First Light Films alongside Luis Guerrero and Chris Lemos who produce for Vital Pictures. Neil Walton, Marc Ellman, John Williams, Doug Bouton and Trey Martin serve as executive producers.
The production was filmed throughout the Bowling Green, Kentucky area with the support of Goldenrod Film & Television and the Kentucky Entertainment Incentive.
