Hulu will stream four Jennifer Lawrence hits, including The Hunger Games, in October
Hulu is adding all four of Jennifer Lawrence’s Hunger Games movies to its streaming lineup in October. According to Hulu Press, The Hunger Games, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 will begin streaming on October 14, 2026. The four films are scheduled to leave Netflix on the same day.
The Hunger Games film series is based on Suzanne Collins’ bestselling novels. The story is set in the dystopian nation of Panem, in which the Capitol maintains control over 12 districts. The first movie, The Hunger Games, was released in 2012 and introduced Katniss Everdeen, whose decision to protect her younger sister places her at the center of the Capitol’s plans and the resistance against them.
Katniss is joined by Peeta Mellark, and the two are forced to compete in a battle to the death against other young representatives from the other districts. The so-called Hunger Games are broadcast across Panem, with the contestants required to fight for survival while the Capitol presents the competition as entertainment.
Katniss and Peeta then become targets of the Capitol in Catching Fire as resistance grows across the districts. In Mockingjay – Part 1, Katniss is taken to District 13. There, she becomes involved in the rebellion under President Coin while attempting to save Peeta from the Capitol. The story concludes in Mockingjay – Part 2, with Katniss and the rebels launching a final assault against the Capitol.
Lawrence stars as Katniss, with Josh Hutcherson as Peeta. Liam Hemsworth also stars alongside them as Gale Hawthorne. Woody Harrelson plays Haymitch Abernathy in the four films, and Elizabeth Banks appears as Effie Trinket. The franchise has since expanded with the 2023 prequel The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. Another prequel film, Sunrise on the Reaping, is scheduled to be released on November 20, 2026.
