This year’s Aftershock couldn’t have asked for a better lineup, but four days at Discovery Park proved why the Sacramento festival remains a must for heavy music fans. Last weekend, the space was packed with emo, punk, rock, and metal across five stages. My Chemical Romance, Pierce the Veil, Limp Bizkit, and Tool stepped into the headlining spotlight, while acts like Mayday Parade, the Starting Line, Drain, Alexisonfire, Sleeping With Sirens, the Story So Far, and AFI kept the energy high throughout the weekend.

Across multiple days, Aftershock brought together generations of heavy music, and no set was short on noteworthy moments. Circa Survive returned to the stage, From First to Last played with new vocalist Lil Lotus, and Frank Iero of L.S. Dunes wore a shirt calling out the Cornell 7. Photographer Ryan Bakerink was on site, capturing it all for AP. Check out the gallery below.
