Deafheaven have surprise-released their new EP, At Work in the Fields of the Bomb, out now on streaming and available on vinyl.
The three-track EP is the first release since 2025’s Lonely People With Power and includes a short film for “Hunter.” The film was created by vocalist George Clarke with director Nico Poalillo and Academy Award-winning cinematographer Janusz Kaminsky.

The concept for the EP is from Robert Del Tredici’s photographic book, which documents the everyday places, people, and processes behind the production of nuclear weapons. At Work in the Fields of the Bomb explores how catastrophe can take shape through the accumulation of mundane details and how a world-ending event can leave no one behind to bear witness.
Deafheaven are currently on tour with Mastodon throughout October before wrapping up in Fort Worth, Texas, at Sick New World.
