Looney Tunes is heading back to theaters with a new animated short this November. The release will bring its familiar cartoon characters to the big screen alongside another animated feature. The story puts Daffy Duck in a soccer-themed situation, setting up a new comedic adventure for the iconic character.
Warner Bros. Pictures Animation has released a new poster for Daffy Season, which will play exclusively in theaters alongside The Cat in the Hat on November 6, 2026. The short’s official Instagram account shared the poster with the caption, “Not quite the kickoff Daffy had in mind,” while encouraging fans to get their tickets.

The short follows Daffy Duck as his plans take an unexpected turn when Elmer Fudd becomes more interested in watching football than hunting. With Elmer distracted by the game, Daffy finds himself in a frustrating predicament that turns his usual surroundings into a nightmare.
The story introduces a fresh conflict between the characters, shifting the focus from their usual hunting rivalry to football.
Directed by Todd Wilderman and Hamish Grieve from a story written alongside Jenny Jaffe, the short is produced by Susan Slagle Rogers. Animation studio DNEG has handled the animation, combining computer animation with painterly textures and traditional 2D-style effects. The visuals also drew inspiration from classic Looney Tunes cartoons.
The short features Eric Bauza as Daffy Duck, Jeff Bergman as Elmer Fudd and Bugs Bunny, and Bob Bergen as Porky Pig. The cast also includes Gabriel Iglesias as Speedy Gonzales, Kath Soucie as Lola Bunny, and Fred Tatasciore as Yosemite Sam.
Daffy Season premiered at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in June 2026. Its wider theatrical release will bring the short to audiences alongside The Cat in the Hat. The animated adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ classic children’s book stars Bill Hader as the titular character.
Daffy Season will screen alongside The Cat in the Hat when both films arrive in theaters on November 6, 2026.
