Alan Ruck and Justine Lupe gave us a mini Succession reunion at the SAG-AFTRA strike in Los Angeles.
The stars, who played lovers Connor Roy and Willa Ferreyra in the hit HBO show, protested in solidarity with their fellow actors in Los Angeles.
Speaking to reporters at the protest, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off star Ruck said artificial intelligence (AI) and health insurance were the biggest concerns for actors and writers.
“No AI, proper payment, and it’s just corporatocracy. They’re like ‘more work for less pay’,” he said while joining the picket line outside Warner Bros. studios.
“It’s like you used to have a writers room of a dozen people, and they’re like ‘no, we’re going to hire four people and then occasionally hire a few other people and they expect the same amount of work. It’s wrong.”
Ruck’s co-star Lupe echoed his comments, revealing, “The fact that such a high percentage of our union can’t even get insurance because we just can’t make a living like that.”
