Pink has had an eventful first Summer Carnival concert in Australia, with a woman thought to be going into labour during her show at Sydney’s Allianz Stadium on Friday night.
Members of the crowd signalled to get the singer’s attention as she performed the ballad Our Song before medics attended to the woman, removing her from the mosh pit in a wheelchair.
Pink paused the performance after being alerted and joked with the crowd, asking, “Is it Alecia or Alex being born right now?” referring to her birth name Alecia Moore.

“I feel like we shouldn’t be looking,” the mum-of-two joked, before adding: “Everyone give her privacy,”
“She didn’t just have the baby, right? Is the baby here? No? Okay,” she confirmed.

Pink offered her congratulations before marvelling that it was a ballad that induced the supposed labour instead of one of the more upbeat tracks in her set list.
“Wow, Our Song, that was the one that did it. Wouldn’t have called that one! I thought it would’ve been Get The Party Started or Never Not Gonna Dance Again,” the 44-year-old said.
“That’s exciting. I don’t even know what to say. But we have to sing now. Good luck! It’s gonna be great! You’re gonna do great,” she said, carrying on with the show.
NSW Paramedics has since confirmed to Today that the woman in question did not need to go to the hospital to give birth after being checked out by paramedics, instead going home to rest.
Keeping the family theme going during the show, Pink brought her own daughter, 12-year-old Willow, on stage to sing the hit Cover Me in Sunshine.
Pink has a history of fans going into labour at her concerts, with the latest being under a year ago.

Angela Mercer, 32, had travelled from Albany, New York, to see the star perform in Boston last August and ended up giving birth to her son while 31-weeks pregnant.
In a nod to the singer, who is married to former motorcycle racer Carey Hart, Mercer named her son Aycen Hart.
Pink’s Summer Carnival tour marks her first shows on Australian shores in six years.
She’ll play one more concert in Sydney on Saturday night before heading to Newcastle then onto Queensland, Victoria, Western Australia and eventually New Zealand in March.
