English comedians Jon Richardson and Lucy Beaumont have separated after nine years of marriage.
In a joint statement shared on Instagram, the couple announced the “difficult decision” to end their relationship.
“We have jointly and amicably made the difficult decision to divorce and go our separate ways,” they wrote.

“As our only priority is managing this difficult transition for our daughter, we would ask that our privacy is respected at this sensitive time to protect her well-being.
“We will be making no further comment.”
Even if you don’t know their names, chances are you recognise Richardson and Beaumont from the small screen.
The pair have appeared on popular shows including 8 Out of 10 Cats – on which Richardson was a team captain – Taskmaster and Would I Lie to You?, as well as Celebrity Gogglebox in the UK.

They have also played exaggerated versions of themselves in Meet the Richardsons, a mockumentary about married life, since 2020.
“We like working together and enjoy Meet The Richardsons and we really wanted to make something that people could relate to,” Beaumont said in an interview last year.
The fifth season of the show, which has earned the actress a BAFTA nomination, began airing in the UK earlier this week on April 8.

Just last month, Beaumont suggested in an interview that it would be the final season.
Richardson and Beaumont married in 2015, having reportedly met through mutual friend and fellow comedian Roisin Conaty at a gig two years earlier.
They welcomed their daughter in 2016.
