There’s Only One Way To Get This Exclusive Disney Lorcana Card

Acquiring most Disney Lorcana cards comes down to the luck of the draw, but there’s one upcoming card that will only be included in a very specific package. Following up on the recent release of Ursula’s Return, the next Disney Lorcana set is coming in August under the name Shimmering Skies. The overall approach of the expansion is similar to previous sets, but something a little different will also launch alongside the primary product line.

As reported by LorcanaTCGDeals on Twitter, an exclusive Prince John Disney Lorcana card will be made available through a new package of the Disney Villainous: Introduction to Evil game.

The new card shows Prince John from Robin Hood sleeping contentedly among his riches, featuring a foil treatment and a promo symbol to indicate its non-standard rarity. Called Prince John – Gold Lover, it features three Strength, four Willpower, and one Lore generation at a cost of four Ink.

Like Disney Lorcana, Disney Villainous is a card-based game using familiar animated characters, in this case shifting the spotlight to exclusively highlight the more nefarious ones. Each villain races to achieve unique objectives, with plenty of opportunities to cause others to stumble along the way. Introduction to Evil first appeared in 2023 as a streamlined way to introduce players to the game, featuring some rule tweaks that set it apart from other starter options.

Whether Disney Villainous: Introduction to Evil is worth picking up for a single Disney Lorcana card will come down to preference, but it’s a well-received game that has its own appeal. The Prince John card should be most enticing as an addition to decks making use of Sapphire item combinations, as players can exert him to play items that cost five Ink or less from either their hands or discard for free. The items also enter play exerted, but it’s a potentially powerful ability all the same.
