Mr. & Mrs. Smith Season 2 has been confirmed, and recently, stars Donald Glover and Maya Erskine provided an update on whether or not they’d be in it.
Speaking during a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Glover and Erskine were asked about rumors on the fact that they wouldn’t return for Season 2.

Glover likened the fact that revealing whether or not they would be involved to a child spoiling their present on Christmas and said it’s better to not know right away.
“It’ll be more fun if you see the second season. You know, you wanna wait,” Glover said, before Kimmel said it wouldn’t be fun if the pair weren’t in the season. “Who says we’re not in it? Maybe we are. Maybe we aren’t,” replied Glover, with Erskine echoing the point.
This isn’t the first time that the rumors of Glover and Erskine potentially returning have been discussed. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Francesca Sloane suggested that the stars may or may not be leaving after all.
“I was just talking to Donald last night about this and we were laughing, because one of the pieces of press said, ‘according to our sources,’ and we’re like, ‘Who are these sources,’” said Sloane. “We wrote a cliffhanger, we thought about it long and hard. It was one of the first things that we wrote. Why in the world — we haven’t said anything — but why in the world would we ruin a cliffhanger based on a headline?”
The series is a reimagined story told in the same universe as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s 2005 movie of the same name. It follows two strangers as they both land a job at a spy agency that promises to provide them with a luxurious life. However, having been given new identities, the two of them must also adhere to the arranged marriage.
