Stars are reacting to the news that Donald Trump has won the 2024 US election.
Republican candidate Trump has officially been elected as the next president in the race against Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.
Ahead of the highly-anticipated election, many big Hollywood names and influential celebrities endorsed Trump and Harris as their choice of president. Now the stars have weighed in on the news that Trump will serve a second term.

Rapper Cardi B shared a lengthy statement to social media.
“This may not mean much but I am so proud of you! No one has ever made me change my mind and you did,” she wrote in support of Harris.

“I never thought I would see the day that a woman of colour would be running for the President of the United States, but you have shown me, showed my daughters and women across the country that anything is possible.” Cardi B has two daughters.
Christina Applegate questioned why Trump had been elected in an emotional post to X.

“Why? Give me your reasons why????? My child is sobbing because her rights as a woman may be taken away. Why? And if you disagree, please unfollow me,” she said.
“Please unfollow me if you voted against female rights. Against disability rights. Yeah that. Unfollow me because what you did is unreal,” the actress, who has multiple sclerosis, added.
Trump’s estranged niece Mary Trump said she was “so deeply sorry”.
“I thought better of us,” she wrote to X.
Actress Kerry Washington, who campaigned for Harris, shared her thoughts on Instagram, captioning her post with “it was not a mirage”.
“Be kind to yourself today. There is more work to do.”
Pop star Ariana Grande, who was recently in Australia promoting Wicked, shared a single sentence reaction to her Instagram Story.
“Holding the hand of every person who is feeling the immeasurable heaviness of this outcome today,” the singer, who had endorsed Harris wrote.

All the celebrities spotted at US political rallies
Oscar-winning actress Viola Davis thanked Harris for her “bravery”.
“Thank you for loving America’s promise. I am and will forever be proud,” she wrote.
Jamie Lee Curtis said the result meant a “sure return to a more restrictive, some fear draconian time” in America, urging people to “wake up and fight”.
“Fight for women and our children and their futures and fight against tyranny, one day at a time. One fight at a time. One protest at a time.”
“That’s what it means to be an American. That’s what it has always meant and will always mean regardless of the outcome.”
American TV host Andy Cohen shared his reaction in a video with his son Ben.
“We love our country, we do. We will persist, we will move forward,” he said.

Riverdale star Lili Reinhard was keeping the women who accused Trump of sexual assault in her thoughts after his re-election.
“My heart absolutely breaks for these women. I believe you, and I am so sorry,” she said on X.
Community star Yvette Nicole Brown said on X, “Any hope in this country and what it could be someday, is gone.”
“It was founded as a racist nation made for white men only. It remains that. I see that now. My free labour for it is done.”
Meanwhile on the other side of politics, Elon Musk, who had been a vocal supporter of Trump, said on X: “The future is gonna be fantastic.”
Content creator Bryce Hall shared a photo of himself with Trump at a rally with the short caption, “History. 🇺🇸.”
Rapper 50 Cent posted some photos of him and Trump to Instagram.
“I don’t care how the fight goes, I’m leaving with the winner s–t. I still don’t know what’s going on 🤦congratulations!” he said.
