Kyle Stillie is one of the new deckhands on Below Deck season 11, and there is a lot to know about the yachtie. Below Deck season 11 started with a bang, introducing a new cast, including a new captain. Captain Lee Rosbach, who had been at the helm of the series since its inception, stepped down after season 10 following a slew of health issues. Taking Lee’s place is Captain Kerry Titheradge, who was originally the captain on Below Deck Adventure season 1. While Kerry may be new to Below Deck, he isn’t new to fans.
Besides Captain Kerry, the other cast members of Below Deck season 11 include returning favorites Fraser Olender as the chief steward and Ben Willoughby as the lead deckhand. As for the new crew members, they include Chef Anthony Icracane, Bosun Jared Woodin, Stew Cat Baugh, Deckhand Sunny Marquis, Stew Xandi Olivier, Stew Barbara Pascual, and, of course, Kyle as a deckhand. Kyle hasn’t shown much of himself in the last two episodes, but he does seem like he could cause some trouble this season.

Nonetheless, seeing as Kyle’s interested in Barbie, who’s 29 years old, it’s safe to say Kyle is also in his late 20s or close to it. Since Kyle was born on May 7, that makes his zodiac sign a Taurus. According to AstroTalk, Taurus men have powerful self-confidence but are still down-to-earth, authentic, and never pretend to be something they are not. While Below Deck season 11 is only two episodes in, Kyle does seem like a true Taurus male.

Prior to joining Below Deck, Kyle had only been in the yachting industry for a year. Even though on Below Deck he works as a deckhand, it’s unclear if this was a role he did before joining the Bravo series. The Selkirk, Scottish Borders, Scotland native does seem like he will stick around on the show as a deckhand since Kyle has developed a close bond with lead deckhand Ben; the two have even done confessionals together! Ben can be tough with those on his team, so it seems Kyle was cut out for being a deckhand on Below Deck.

The most recent post on his Instagram is of Kyle with his bare behind, explaining the story of when he almost lost his “a**check,” which he mentioned on Below Deck season 11, episode 2. He didn’t go into too much detail but did reveal it was after a crazy weekend after working in Vancouver. Other than that surprising image, Kyle also posts about his wild adventures from around the world and spending time with his friends.

According to his Instagram, most of Kyle’s life before Below Deck was spent with family and friends in Scotland, where he was born and raised. Likely, Kyle’s life before the show was mostly spent there. While not much is known about Kyle before the show, there is still a whole season of Below Deck to get to know him and his backstory.
What Is Kyle Up To In 2024?
Since Below Deck season 11 came to an end earlier in 2024, Kyle has remained active on Instagram. Kyle posted a lot over the summer, with many of them, including himself, being silly or hanging out with friends. While Kyle hasn’t confirmed this, a majority of these photos look like they were professionally taken, leading many to believe Kyle’s dipped his toe in the modeling world. This wouldn’t be shocking as Kyle is an objectively attractive person; however, Kyle has not said whether or not he’s decided to take on modeling as a career.

In his Instagram bio, the Below Deck star has the Instagram page for a bed and breakfast linked in his bio called Stravaig, which is run by a woman named Paula Stille. It’s unclear what relationship she has with Kyle, but it seems likely that the woman is his mother. Kyle even has his Cameo linked, where he sends videos to fans for a fee. While it looks like Kyle has put yachting behind him, that might not be the case.
There have been rumors surfacing since Below Deck season 11 came to a close that he would be returning for Below Deck season 12. In a Reddit thread started by svCatchinRays2, they shared a video of a man who looks exactly like Kyle in the galley on board the St. David. While this isn’t confirmation Kyle is returning to the Bravo series, it does like he will be joining the St. David as a deckhand again.
