KISS founding member Ace Frehley has ”been laid to rest” in New York after his death on October 16 at the age of 74.
The late rocker hailed from The Bronx, New York, and an attendee at the memorial revealed it took place there.
American radio personality and Sirius XM host Eddie Trunk shared a prayer on Instagram that was shared for the musician at the memorial.

He wrote in his post: “It has been an emotional couple of days to say the least saying farewell to a rock icon and long time friend.
“All of the services went as well as they could and were attended by a small group of family and close friends, including the 3 surviving original members of @kissonline.”
He added in part of his post: “It was an honour to be invited to attend.”

Fellow KISS stars Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley and Peter Criss attended the memorial to pay their respects, according to Trunk.
It comes after it was reported that his death is being investigated.
The 74-year-old died last week after being put on life support after a fall in New Jersey, but new details have emerged about his passing.
His death is now being investigated by a New Jersey Medical examiner and a toxicology test will be done to determine the cause, according to TMZ.

The Morris County Medical Examiner told the publication that an autopsy was not performed on Frehey.
A toxicology screening and an external body examination will be performed on him.
The rep also told TMZ that Frehey’s cause of death will be finalised in the coming weeks, after the toxicology report is completed.
Frehey’s death rocked the music world last week.
The lead guitarist and founding member of KISS was reportedly put on life support after he suffered a brain bleed from a recent fall in the studio.
But just hours after the news that he was on life support broke, his family made the decision to turn off the ventilator.
His death was confirmed in a statement from his family.
“We are completely devastated and heartbroken,” the statement said.
“In his last moments, we were fortunate enough to have been able to surround him with loving, caring, peaceful words, thoughts, prayers and intentions as he left this earth.
“We cherish all of his finest memories, his laughter, and celebrate his strengths and kindness that he bestowed upon others.”
His family added: ”The magnitude of his passing is of epic proportions, and beyond comprehension. Reflecting on all of his incredible life achievements, Ace’s memory will continue to live on forever!”
