Alanis Morissette has been busy with a tour and live performances as of late, and it doesn’t look like she’s winding down anytime soon.
The 50-year-old songwriter recently announced that, for the first time in her career, she’s heading to the Las Vegas Strip for a residency. Morissette made the announcement via X (formerly known as Twitter) on Monday, March 3, with a post that read, “omg las vegas

A colorful promotional photo for the event was shared along with the message, featuring a silhouette of the “You Learn” singer grabbing a microphone on a stand. A number of her fans took to the comment section of the post to share their reactions to the singer’s first residency in Sin City.
“That’s going to be amazing! She puts on an amazing show, definitely one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen. I would see her again in a heartbeat,” wrote one excited fan.

A user on Reddit who was less excited about the update wrote, “Sweet. Can’t wait to not go,” while another shared, “I saw her once when I was a teenager when she toured with Tori Amos. I love her music and her as a person, but back then, her stage presence was… underwhelming. Hopefully she’ll put on a good show in Vegas.”
Morissette spent most of 2024 touring with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and Morgan Wade and was a performer at the FirAid benefit concert in Los Angeles, California, in January. The seven-time Grammy Award winner is set to embark on a tour in South America, which kicks off in Buenos Aires, Argentina, at the Lollapalooza Argentina Music Festival on March 22. She also announced a number of dates in the United States and Europe before her Las Vegas debut.
