Summer House star Amanda Batula returned to Instagram to issue an apology after confirming her relationship with West Wilson.
“Hi guys, I’ll keep this short and sweet,” she captioned an Instagram Story post with a picture of her sleeping dog. “I’ve obviously been MIA, but I wanted to come back on and say I’m truly sorry to everyone I’ve disappointed and hurt, especially those I know personally who I’ve reached out to individually.”
“For the sake of my mental health, I’m going to start living life with some sense of normalcy,” she continued. “If you see me out or posting online, please know that this still weighs heavily on me. I’m not ignoring what’s happened or unfolded.”
She concluded by telling followers she will be at the reunion and plans to address “any and all questions honestly and directly there.”

On March 31, West and Amanda confirmed their relationship with an announcement on Instagram.
“We’ve seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity,” they shared. “It was never our intention to purposefully hide anything. Given the complicated dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it.”
“We’ve shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what’s developed recently was the last thing that either of us expected. Our connection grew out of a genuine, long-standing friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care,” they continued.
Amanda and West noted they kept mum about their relationship as their “feelings evolved” and they wanted to “take time to understand exactly what [they] were feeling.”
“We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless,” they added. “We truly appreciate the understanding and respect as we navigate this.”

A week before they confirmed they were an item, West appeared on Watch What Happens Live, and claimed things between he and Amanda were strictly platonic.
“She’s single now, and it’s happened already to other people that she’s hung out with,” West said on WWHL on March 24. “We were just hanging out in New York. She’s single. I gotta show her the streets a little bit. But if it’s not clear, that’s a very important person to me, and I care about her a lot. That’s a friend.”
