The 52nd Annual American Music Awards is shaping up to be one of the biggest music events of the summer. CBS and Dick Clark Productions officially revealed the first wave of performers set to take the stage when the AMAs return live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25.
Hosted by Queen Latifah, this year’s ceremony marks the largest venue in AMA history and promises a packed night of major performances, surprise moments, and fan-favorite artists spanning multiple genres.
Among the first artists announced are Hootie & the Blowfish, KATSEYE, Keith Urban, Maluma, Riley Green, SOMBR, Teddy Swims, and Twenty One Pilots. Just today, Teyana Taylor was added to the lineup as it continues to expand ahead of the show.
Fans can expect several major television debuts throughout the night. KATSEYE will perform the U.S. TV premiere of their new single “PINKY UP,” while Twenty One Pilots are set to perform the viral fan-favorite “Drag Path,” which recently exploded across social media and streaming platforms. Teddy Swims will also bring his latest single “Mr. Know It All” to the AMA stage following a breakout year.
Meanwhile, Hootie & the Blowfish will make a nostalgic return to the AMAs exactly 30 years after winning Favorite Pop/Rock New Artist in 1996, revisiting some of the songs that helped define the decade.
Country music fans will also have plenty to look forward to as Keith Urban previews music from his upcoming album Flow State, while Riley Green makes his AMA performance debut fresh off his recent television appearance on CBS’ Marshals. Maluma is also set to return with a performance tied to his upcoming project Loco x Volver.
This year’s ceremony will additionally spotlight veterans and military families through partnerships with organizations including the Gary Sinise Foundation, USO, and the Bob Woodruff Foundation.
The 2026 AMAs air live Monday, May 25 on CBS and Paramount+, with more performers, presenters, and special guests expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
