The first official trailer for the highly anticipated Anaconda reboot has landed, starring Paul Rudd and Jack Black. Directed by Tom Gormican, the new film offers a fresh, comedic twist on the cult 1997 thriller.
It blends horror tropes with self-aware humor, in a buddy adventure gone terrifyingly wrong!
In Anaconda, lifelong friends Griff (Rudd) and Doug (Black) set out to remake their favorite childhood movie—Anaconda. Their passion project quickly turns nightmarish when their filmmaking trip to the Amazon jungle reveals that a real giant snake is on the loose, threatening not just their movie, but their lives.
The trailer teases a mix of slapstick, buddy banter, and genuine suspense, promising a film that balances laugh-out-loud moments with moments of real tension.
Joining Rudd and Black are Thandiwe Newton, Steve Zahn, Selton Mello, and Daniela Melchior. While the story takes place in the Amazon, much of the film was shot amid the lush rainforests and waterfalls of Queensland’s Gold Coast in Australia, delivering the expansive, immersive visuals audiences expect from a jungle thriller.
Anaconda is set to slither into theaters on December 25, 2025, just in time for a holiday blockbuster debut.
