Sony Pictures dropped the first trailer for its Anaconda reboot, in which Paul Rudd, Jack Black, Thandiwe Newton and Steve Zahn star as childhood friends and fans of the 1997 Jennifer Lopez movie attempting to revive the franchise with a new film. After the snake they planned to use for their movie is killed during production, they go hunting for the real deal — with deadly consequences. While the original was a action-adventure creature feature, this new movie is clearly a comedy, taking the series in a very different direction. It hits theaters Christmas Day 2025.
