Part two of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion kicks off with the arrival of Jennifer Tilly and Kathy Hilton. Being a friend of allows one to breeze in and out, mainly stay out of the drama, and bring the light-heartedness to set. Lord knows we are going to need it once Kyle gets put in the hot seat over text-gate and Dorit gets her claws in Sutton. The pushing and provoking will only lead the ladies down a dark path…
After a lunch break, a heated Garcelle feels like she cannot trust anyone, whereas Sutton is solely hung up on how angry Kyle is at both of them. Figures. Sutton and Garcelle want to go home, but Garcelle decides it is better to “speak your truth now.”
Garcelle wastes no time. She feels like Kyle was just trying to shut her up with the off-camera conversation about Morgan she who shall not be named. Kyle claims she was trying to deepen their friendship by trusting her with personal information. Sure, Jan! Kyle does not want to say something to “affect her daughters’ lives” for a TV show, but if that’s the case, then Kyle cannot say she is open and honest about sharing. Even Bozoma points this out to Kyle, who is death-gripping a crystal to help keep her grounded.
When it comes to Dorit and Kyle, Dorit states that she never holds a grudge with Kyle, and she lets things go way easier than Kyle does. This is rich coming from Dorit since she shared Kyle’s text publicly last reunion. So easygoing of Dorit. It seems very tit-for-tat. Dorit was mad that Kyle announced Dorit exaggerated their friendship, and Kyle was mad that Dorit announced that as Kyle got closer to Morgan, she distanced herself from Dorit.
Kyle admits to being bothered by Dorit’s comments, but it seems like every time Morgan’s name gets mentioned, Kyle retracts. Andy does a great job of pointing out that Morgan IS a performer who sometimes sings about liking “older women,” so she should be used to the fame. Morgan DID become a household name after Housewives and even had a NY Times article written about her. He goes on to remind Kyle of *the* music video with Morgan, which fueled the rumors in a huge way. Ain’t no crystal is gonna help Kyle weasel her way out of this hot seat.
Kyle tries to spin the discussion, stating she wants more accountability from Dorit. But Dorit wants more openness from Kyle. The PK text “scandal” really knocked Dorit for a loop. And the montage of footage with Kyle’s angry forehead vein and fluid stories does not help the situation.
Dorit wonders how Kyle cannot understand how messed up this whole situation is. Kyle defends herself by saying she texted PK when she was not speaking to Dorit. Kyle’s story is that she texted both PK and Dorit upon hearing the separation announcement. PK responded… Dorit did not. When Kyle read her text to PK at Chuck E. Cheese (love this for RHOBH) and at Boz’s wellness event, it showed just how inappropriate it could come across.
The whole “I’ve never said anything you said” comment Kyle texted to PK makes one feel like there are secrets between Kyle and PK. It seems like they have a common enemy in Dorit and sh*t talk her together. Andy points out that if Dorit were to text Mo in this way, Kyle would be livid. Kyle agrees, but she refuses to believe that she has broken girl code. According to Kyle, it is Dorit who broke girl code by reading her text to the viewers last season. Not quite the same…
At the end of the day, Kyle should have said, ‘Yes, I sent PK a text when you guys separated.’ Instead, she reacted so over the top that it left everyone wondering what the heck was going on. Dorit wants Kyle to realize that no matter what, she has been there for Kyle. Even at Boz’s wellness event, Dorit was there to help Kyle after she stormed out. Dorit is just looking for Kyle to be honest with her.
Fat chance of that happening, though. Seems like Boz is the only one who has Kyle’s number. She called Kyle a liar on a podcast and double-downs at the reunion, claiming that Kyle’s omissions equal lies. It was always way more than memes and jokes between Kyle and PK… and Kyle proved that once she showed the infamous text. Dorit worries if Kyle is just trying to get PK on her side and threatens that she knows *everything* — all the times Kyle has called and texted. Yes, even the time Kyle called PK in Oceanside to snitch on Dorit and share the drama. What was the purpose of that, Kyle?
Despite it all, Dorit is willing to continue working on her friendship with Kyle, sans cameras and Andy.
Jennifer Tilly joins the set, and Kyle drops her crystal for like the third time… which is NOT a good sign. Jennifer explains that since joining the Housewives, the fans have been all up in her grill, but she is enjoying this version of fame. When it comes to her jewelry, she is embarrassed for being such a show-off, but let’s be real, we love the opulence — thanks, The Simpsons!
Jennifer apologizes for calling out PK, claiming that the Beverly Hills Hotel is too expensive for him to stay. The shade! Dorit feels like Jennifer joined the “Witches of Eastwick” with a few of her recent comments, but no one can stay mad at Jennifer for long.
Aside to Garcelle, Jennifer wonders if Sutton is on anxiety medication based on her behavior thus far. But Sutton’s silence is only because she hasn’t been the focus… yet.
Kathy — and her purse — enter the set. They reminisce about Kathy’s fashion roadkill moment during Sutton’s fashion show, and she defends her Asian background. We learn that Kathy’s source of genealogy may not be that reliable, as she HEARD this information at a Max Mara fashion show.
Kathy does not back down from her comments about Mo aging badly and PK (or PJ) looking 56 a decade ago. She tries to backtrack by saying PK looked older with the weight on him… more sophisticated… and Mo looks like he could be Kyle’s father these days.
Regarding Erika‘s comment that Sutton and Garcelle suck up to her, Kathy denies this. After all, Sutton and Kathy are truly friends.
When Andy asks about Kim’s status these days, Kyle shoots Kathy dagger eyes as if to quiet her. The sisters give a canned answer that Kim is spending time in Florida and is trying to do better.
Speaking of sisters, let’s talk sisterhood: the word of the season. It’s cringey watching it all unravel, especially because Sutton had good intentions. It was Dorit who called Sutton the C word, but, according to Boz, it was Sutton who intentionally meant to hurt Dorit with her words. It is time for Sutton to take some accountability, even though Dorit was yelling and cursing like crazy in that moment.
Dorit can’t forget that Sutton so rudely interrupted her when she was opening up about her son and the separation. Sutton claims that production asked her to move things along, but she realizes that she could have done a smoother transition. Dorit refers to Sutton as Miss Manners and muses on where the lady with the “beady stare” is now. Dorit eggs Sutton on to be the person who “showed up all season long.”
Sutton admits the wallet comment to Dorit was lower than low, but she points out that Dorit is no saint in this situation. She said some nasty things in her confessional, like, “The only thing your wallet bought you was a horse and not a date.”
Dorit goes on to say, “You don’t exactly live like the Queen of Sheba. You live on a main road.” Andy isn’t sure why this is a bad thing and questions why Dorit, whose home was recently in pre-foreclosure, is “weaponizing” Sutton’s home. Dorit retorts, “I wouldn’t want to live on a f*cking main road. And my life is full of love. There’s a hell of a lot more” than a big bank account, but “you have to be nice to get love.”
Dorit is pushing Sutton and states that Sutton is used to buying people with gifts (says the lady who said if Sutton bought her a Kelly bag, she would forgive her). Sutton is aghast, wondering who she tries to buy, “honey.” Beyond proud that she is able to push Sutton to her breaking point, Dorit exclaims, “Oh, here she comes!” But remember what Sutton said… you don’t want to be her enemy… it is time to let the mouse go.
