Ize Press, the Korean comics imprint of Yen Press and Anime NYC, one of New York City’s biggest anime conventions, have announced a big name for their upcoming slate of guests for their November 17-19, 2023 event at the Javits Center: Sleepy-C, artist for works such as Tomb Raider King and manhwa mega-hit Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint. Sleepy-C will be able to meet fans in N. America for the first time in honor of the series’ upcoming English print graphic novel debut. Anime NYC confirms via their website: “Sleepy-C will appear on Saturday and Sunday. She will appear on a panel and host autograph sessions.”
The Ize Press edition of Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint will be released on December 12, 2023. It’s available for pre-order now, and Ize Press will hopefully have early release copies available at the show for the autograph sessions. Ize Press has also been releasing physical English language editions of Tomb Raider King and The World After the Fall, the latter of which is written by singNsong, the author of Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint.

Readers have frequently requested and eagerly anticipated English print editions of the widely renowned Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint since Ize Press, the Korean comic imprint of Yen Press, was announced in April 2022. Written by singNsong, the author of The World After the Fall, Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint has reigned supreme as one of the top ten action series on the digital comic platform WEBTOON with over 268 million views and 2.9 million subscribers. This Korean comic series also won the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award in the Manhwa Category of the 2021 Korea Content Awards.”

In 2019, Sleepy-C worked on the series Tomb Raider King and in 2020 became the main artist of the Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint webcomic. With her amazing artwork bolstering the adaptation of one of the most popular Korean webnovels, Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint has quickly become an iconic work in the world of Korean webcomics.”
Other guests for Anime NYC include several hololive idols such as Fuwawa, Mococo Abyssgard, Biseki Bijou, and Shiori Novella. Kazuki Ura (voice actor for Yoichi Isagi in soccer anime series Blue Lock), the cast of Drawfee, and Sarah Natochenny (voice actor for Ash Ketchum in the Pokémon anime series) to name a few.
