Ariana Madix revealed how much she filmed with Tom Sandoval for Vanderpump Rules season 11 while attending the premiere party on Wednesday in Los Angeles.
As she also spoke of her relationship with Tom Schwartz, 40, gushed over her new boyfriend, Daniel Wai, and offered an update on her lawsuit against Tom Sandoval, 41, Ariana, 38, admitted that when it came to getting in front of the camera with Sandoval, who cheated on her with Rachel “Raquel” Leviss, 29, throughout season 10, she did not do so with any frequency.
“I didn’t really film with him,” Ariana explained to Us Weekly on January 17. “Three months of filming and maybe once or twice of being in the same room.”
Continuing on, Ariana said that while the Pump Rules fans seem to think that a lot of time has passed since Sandoval’s affair was exposed, production on season 11 actually began shortly after she learned of the betrayal.
“This season was really interesting to film because I think the consensus on the internet is that ‘It’s been a year!’ And cameras picked up maybe two months after the reunion, so it’s definitely a lot of life to live on camera between then and now,” she noted.
As for where she stands with Schwartz, Ariana confirmed, “We’re cordial, but we’re not friends.”
As she prepares for her debut in Broadway’s Chicago later this month, Ariana has been living in New York City with her boyfriend, who she said filmed just a few scenes for Pump Rules.
“He’ll be there once or twice, but he’s definitely not interested in being a reality star. It’s very foreign to him, but he is a very good sport about it, and he kind of, like, did me a solid by showing up a couple of times,” she noted.
When Ariana was asked how her relationship with Daniel differs from others, she explained, “It’s very new, so it’s hard to say. But I just feel very at ease, and I feel very just myself.”
Moving on to her lawsuit against Sandoval, which she hopes will force him to sell their $2 million home and split the profit with her, Ariana confirmed Sandoval has not yet responded to the suit.
“You guys know that I asked the courts to help facilitate a sale so things can move along, and I’m just waiting to hear a response to that,” Ariana shared with The Messenger.
“I would love to own my own home, and that’s difficult to do when you’re on a mortgage currently. It’s a financial investment, and I don’t have just tons of money laying around. So, I have to be wise with my financial future, and this is something that I have to really take into consideration. You know, I can’t just say, like, ‘Bye!’” she added.
