Atreyu will complete the EP trilogy that began with April’s The Hope of a Spark and continued with August’s The Moment You Find Your Flame with A Torch In The Dark, due Nov. 3 via Spinefarm, and then all three will culminate in the December release of the band’s new album The Beautiful Dark of Life.
The new EP is said to be about self-discovery, as vocalist Brandon Saller explains: “Many people remember these moments and experiences that shaped who they are in very formative years. But for me, that period of my life is one big void. There are things about me as a person and things I do to this day that I don’t like, but I don’t understand why.”

The first taste of this new EP is the explosive pop-metalcore anthem “(i),” which finds Saller grappling with that concept. “Who am I? Who the fuck have I been after all this time?” he asks on the song, before concluding: “It’s a lie.” Listen below.
Guitarist Dan Jacobs also weighed in on this current moment for Atreyu, saying, “Everything that we have put out to this point has built up to this moment. Something special is happening with Atreyu right now. We can feel the creativity and collaboration when the five of us get in the studio. We can feel the confidence we all give each other when we stand onstage together. And we can see it in the audience when they’re losing their minds. They’re having as good a time as we are ourselves.”
