Bailey Spinn released her new single, “critical,” a reflection on mental health struggles, the cyclical nature of pain, and the hope for brighter days. “critical” was produced and co-written Erik Ron, who’s worked with Panic! At The Disco and Set It Off, and features Spinn exploring a weighty, somber sound.
“My new single ‘critical’ is a dark and heavy track inspired by the work of Evanescence, Spiritbox, and Bad Omens,” Spinn says exclusively to AP. “It focuses on the pain of feeling stuck within your own life, and hoping for things to change before you lose your spark. ‘critical’ marks the beginning of a new era in my music, leaning toward a hard-rock sound with powerful vocals.”

The new single follows the track “fear of going out,” a song about anxiety and being an introvert, continuing the momentum from her debut LP, loser, which came out earlier this year.
