London trio bar italia have announced their new album, Some Like It Hot, which shares a name with the 1959 film starring Marilyn Monroe. It’s out Oct. 17 via Matador, and they’ve just fired off the opener “Fundraiser,” a song that grounds their triptych vocals in loads of hooks. It arrives alongside a band-directed video that features British actor and comedian Matt King.
Following a pair of releases in 2023, Tracey Denim and The Twits, the group — Nina Cristante, Jezmi Tarik Fehmi, and Sam Fenton — have kept in motion. This June, they shared “Cowbella,” the first preview of Some Like It Hot, and a huge number of tour dates throughout North America and Europe. Outside of the band, Cristante collaborated with Yves Tumor on “WE DON’T COUNT,” whereas Fenton and Fehmi put out Shakedown, the third album under their wonky guitar project Double Virgo.

Now they’re back in bar italia mode. In October, the band will begin their headlining run overseas and return to the U.S. the following month. They’re bringing along Voyeur on the West Coast and Lifeguard on the East Coast. See the tour itinerary and video for “Fundraiser” below.
