The Season 1 update is live in Battlefield 6, and the update includes the game’s first battle pass. This pass works somewhat differently from other seasonal passes like Call of Duty and Fortnite.. In this guide, we’ll explain how the game’s battle pass path system works, as well as highlight all the rewards you can unlock.
Battlefield 6’s Season 1 battle pass is divided into seven different sections. These sections are called paths, and you can choose some of the paths to prioritize which rewards you want to unlock first, giving you a choice in the order in which you unlock items. The battle pass starts with an intro path, then you can choose between four paths of rewards, and once all four of those are complete, two more final paths are unlocked for even more rewards.
Like most games, Battlefield 6’s Season 1 battle pass includes free and premium tiers. This means some items are unlocked for free through progression, while many items will be tied to the premium (paid) battle pass. The premium battle pass is purchased for 1,100 Battlefield Coins ($10) or claimed with the battle pass token if you buy the Phantom edition of the game.
There are 110 tiers of the battle pass in total. This includes 26 free items and 84 premium rewards. If you purchase the premium pass and complete it, you can earn up to 700 Battlefield Coins back from the initial 1,100 point purchase.
You level up the Battlefield 6 Season 1 battle pass by earning battle pass points. The points are gained by completing weekly challenges and earning XP. You reach a new reward tier for every 10 battle pass points you earn.
The path you choose first will likely depend on the order in which you want to unlock the season’s new guns. The Rogue Operators path has the new SOR-300SC carbine, and the Soldiers of Fortune path includes the new Mini Scout sniper rifle.
