Well, this is awkward!
It looks like Bella Hadid‘s relationship status may have changed long before one very important person got the memo! According to TMZ on Tuesday, the supermodel’s (apparent) ex Adan Banuelos was completely caught off guard after learning she is officially single. Whoa!
And here’s the kicker: he reportedly found out the same way everyone else did — by reading the news! Talk about an uncomfortable surprise!

Sources with direct knowledge told the outlet that Adan believed he and Bella were still very much together. In fact, he allegedly had no clue anything had changed until TMZ just recently published a report shutting down speculation that Bella had moved on with her friend’s brother, Nathan Lacy.
And, well, instead of confirming a new romance, that report revealed Bella is currently single — news that apparently shocked Adan!
Awkward!
If that’s true, it’s easy to see why he’d be blindsided. Insiders say the now-former couple had still been spending plenty of quality time together in recent weeks. They reportedly traveled to Aspen together, where they enjoyed multiple dinners and took in several rodeo events. They were even photographed sharing a meal late last month, adding even more fuel to the idea that they were still very much a couple.
After wrapping up their Colorado getaway, the two reportedly went their separate ways. TMZ says Adan returned to Texas for a horse competition while Bella continued traveling through Colorado to spend time with mutual friends. And now… it’s over!
Bella and Adan first sparked dating rumors back in October 2023, and their romance continued on and off for more than two and a half years. Fans followed their relationship through plenty of highs and lows, but it seems this latest chapter may have ended in a way neither expected. Er, at least a way that Adan didn’t expect, that is.
